It is so good to be back in the routine of writing weekly blogs! This year in ISM has been exciting because while it's crazy to be the one that knows her way around and is able to help others for help instead of always requesting it, I still feel that classic ISM awareness of being overwhelmed by everything to do. I remember last year how the constant due dates and never-ending assignments could really stress me out sometimes, but the good news is that my second time around, I'm feeling a lot better about everything on my plate. I'm much more confident than I was last year, like with requesting interviews with professionals, which is what I'm working on now. Knowing that we only have to have three required interviews instead of five is nice, and I'm trying hard to schedule interviews with professionals in local government. Interviewing was actually one of my favorite parts of ISM last year, so I wouldn't be surprised if I go over the 3-interview minimum. All in all, it's really exciting to be back. I'm coming into this year with a passion for my field and a self-assurance after already doing ISM once, which I think will translate to a great few months ahead. Hopefully this time next week I'll have some firmly scheduled interviews, and when I do, this blog will be the first to know!
