For my second week of this blog, I'm really starting to re-familiarize myself with ISM and the routine that comes with it. For example, I kind of neglected how hard it would be to get interviews scheduled, and now I'm regretting not having them firmly set sooner. Thankfully, everything somewhat came together at the last minute and I will have interviews to go on, but for this past week I was in kind of a scramble to get some interviews on my calendar. I've also completed my first two Research Assessments of the year, and I can already tell that local government will be a really exciting thing for me to study this year. Although I learned so much from studying public interest law last year, it was never really my inner passion to study that, whereas political science and city demographics fascinate me a lot and I'm looking forward to going deeper into the subjects throughout the year. I have my first interview this Friday with former Frisco mayor, Maher Maso, and I can't wait to see what he says not only about working in Frisco, but also about working in development since that's what he now does for Prosper. As a whole, it's been a good week, and I can't wait for this next one!
